To ensure the safety of our students and staff, all volunteers must complete a background check and screening process. Only those who are approved and listed on the District’s volunteer roster for the current school year may participate.
 

Volunteering Levels

  • Visitor:
Definition: You are invited for a meeting, open house, or presentation but will not work directly with students
Examples: Guest speakers, event presenters.
  • Supervised Volunteer (Level 2):
Definition: You will work directly with students but always under the supervision of an ANWSD staff member.
Examples: Dance chaperone, library reading helper, special event classroom assistant.
  • Unsupervised Volunteer (Level 3):
Definition: You will work directly with students and may not always be under the supervision of an ANWSD staff member.
Examples: Volunteer coach, field trip chaperone, classroom volunteer.

  2. Submit Application: Fill out the volunteer application form.
  3. Complete Background Check: All potential volunteers must undergo a background check.
  4. Approval: Await confirmation of your approved status from the District.
