Superintendent Search
The Addison Northwest School District Board of Directors has launched a search for the next Superintendent of Schools to lead our district of approximately 820 students.
Selecting a superintendent is one of the Board's most important responsibilities. The Board is committed to an open, inclusive, and thoughtful process that reflects the voices of our students, families, staff, and community.
In August, the Board selected McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development firm, to assist with the important task of selecting superintendent candidates for the Board to interview. This process is designed to be very transparent and inclusive.
The firm will facilitate community engagement and support the Board throughout the search, including gathering input about qualities, experience, and leadership values our community believes are important in the next superintendent.
Anticipated Search Timeline:

- Stakeholder Survey closes: September 30, 2026
- Position Posted: October 2, 2026
- Closing Date for Applications: November 16, 2026
- Finalists Interviews: Early January 2027
- Selection of new Superintendent: January 20, 2027
- Start Date: July 1, 2027
